Storefront Logo

Bingsville Vintage Wear

For my second freelance project, I was commissioned to design a logo for Amy Ray, a woman-owned vintage clothing shop in Eastport, Maine. Amy wanted to keep a hand-drawn deer from her original branding, a symbol with personal and local significance, and asked me to incorporate it into the new design. I began with research into vintage fashion branding, paying close attention to typography, layout, and the decorative elements common in vintage labels. Inspired by this, I sketched initial concepts by hand before refining them digitally in Adobe Illustrator.

I presented three logo directions, each with its take on vintage style and composition. After Amy selected her favorite, we went through a collaborative revision process to fine-tune the design. The final logo was also adapted for use as a storefront decal, bringing the brand identity into the physical space. This project was a valuable learning experience not only creatively, but also in working through the full design process, from concept and revision to final delivery.
