Unconditional Love

The goal of this project was to create a series of three books. We were able to choose any three books that had a common theme to make our series from. I chose Modoc by Ralph Helfer, Racing in The Rain by Garth Stein and Pax by Sara Pennypacker. My theme and name of my book series is unconditional love referring to animals and their loyalty to humans. These books are for everyone but appealing to kids and teens in particular so I chose to go with bright colors that would capture their attention. I also went with a friendly rounded typeface to relate to the overall theme. On each color I illustrated an animal to represent what the book is about while also making it look similar in width and design to the type. This project helped me to think conceptually and to create something that feels very cohesive yet different.
