Hometown Branding

Manchester Center, Vermont

My hometown is Manchester Center, Vermont. If you've ever been here you instantly know this town is all about the outdoors weather its hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, horseback riding, golfing or any other form of outdoor activity. There is also a large population of older retired  folks but also a high school right in town. I wanted to create something that catered to both ages yet spoke to the outdoor aspect of my town. One of the popular sites to see is called Equinox Pond which is a beautiful crystal clear pond and behind it a large distinctly shaped mountain. This view is breathtaking and a very prominent place in Manchester. I decided to base my logo around the Equinox pond and Mountain. For my secondary logo I went with a simpler design which is quite versatile and can easily be read at any size. This project taught be alot about the importance of thinking about the people and places you're designing for, to consider every aspect of people and place.
